    وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ

    (95) And never be of those who deny the signs of Allāh and [thus] be among the losers.^[540]

    Footnotes

    [540]- Among the interpretations of the last two verses is that they were meant to stir the Prophet (ﷺ) to declare and confirm his certainty, which he did. Another is that although the words are addressed to the Prophet (ﷺ), they are directed to all people.

    Covers verses 95

    {95} {ولا تكونَنَّ من الذين كذَّبوا بآيات الله فتكون من الخاسرين}: وحاصل هذا أنَّ الله نهى عن شيئين: الشكِّ في هذا القرآن، والامتراء منه. وأشد من ذلك التكذيب به، وهو آيات الله البينات، التي لا تقبل التكذيب بوجه، ورتَّب على هذا الخسار، وهو عدم الربح أصلاً، وذلك بفوات الثواب في الدنيا والآخرة، وحصول العقاب في الدنيا والآخرة، والنهي عن الشيء أمرٌ بضدِّه، فيكون أمراً بالتصديق التامِّ بالقرآن وطمأنينة القلب إليه والإقبال عليه علماً وعملاً؛ فبذلك يكون العبدُ من الرابحين، الذين أدركوا أجلَّ المطالب وأفضل الرغائب وأتمَّ المناقب، وانتفى عنهم الخسارُ.
