101. 101Play from here

     وَمَا ظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ ۖ فَمَآ أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ ءَالِهَتُهُمُ ٱلَّتِى يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ لَّمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍ

     (101) And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than Allāh when there came the command of your Lord. And they did not increase them in other than ruin.

     Tafsir as-Sa'di (Arabic)

     Covers verses 101

     {101} {وما ظَلَمْناهم}: بأخذهم بأنواع العقوبات، {ولكن ظَلَموا أنفسَهم}: بالشرك والكفر والعناد. {فما أغنتْ عنهم آلهتُهم التي يَدْعون من دون الله من شيءٍ لمَّا جاء أمرُ ربِّك}: وهكذا كلُّ من التجأ إلى غير الله؛ لم ينفعْه ذلك عند نزول الشدائد. {وما زادوهم غير تَتْبيبٍ}؛ أي: خسار ودمار بالضدِّ مما خطر ببالهم.
