    وَأُتْبِعُوا۟ فِى هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ عَادًا كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ ۗ أَلَا بُعْدًا لِّعَادٍ قَوْمِ هُودٍ

    (60) And they were [therefore] followed in this world with a curse and [as well] on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, ʿAad denied their Lord; then away with ʿAad, the people of Hūd.

    {60} {وأتبعوا في هذه الدُّنيا لعنةً}: فكل وقتٍ وجيل إلا ولأنبائهم القبيحة وأخبارهم الشنيعة ذِكْرٌ يذكَرون به وذمٌّ يلحقُهم. {ويوم القيامة}: لهم أيضاً لعنةٌ، {ألا إنَّ عاداً كفروا ربَّهم}؛ أي: جحدوا مَنْ خَلَقَهم ورَزَقَهم وربَّاهم. {ألا بعداً لعادٍ قوم هود}؛ أي: أبعدهم الله عن كلِّ خير، وقرَّبهم من كلِّ شرٍّ.
