    قَالُوا۟ يَـٰلُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَن يَصِلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَكَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مُصِيبُهَا مَآ أَصَابَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ ٱلصُّبْحُ ۚ أَلَيْسَ ٱلصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيبٍ

    (81) They [the angels] said, "O Lot, indeed we are messengers of your Lord; [therefore], they will never reach you. So set out with your family during a portion of the night^[571] and let not any among you look back - except your wife; indeed, she will be struck by that which strikes them. Indeed, their appointment is [for] the morning. Is not the morning near?"

    Covers verses 81

    {81} ولهذا لمَّا بَلَغَ الأمرُ منتهاه واشتدَّ الكربُ؛ {قالوا} له: {إنَّا رسلُ ربِّك}؛ أي: أخبروه بحالهم ليطمئنَّ قلبُه، {لن يَصِلوا إليكَ}: بسوءٍ. ثم قال جبريل بجناحِهِ، فطمس أعينَهم، فانطلقوا يتوعَّدون لوطاً بمجيء الصبح، وأمر الملائكةُ لوطاً أن يَسْرِيَ بأهله {بِقِطْع من الليل}؛ أي: بجانب منه قبل الفجر بكثير؛ ليتمكَّنوا من البعدِ عن قريتهم، {ولا يلتفتْ منكُم أحدٌ}؛ أي: بادروا بالخروج، وليكن همُّكم النجاءَ، ولا تلتفِتوا إلى ما وراءكم، {إلاَّ امرأتَكَ إنَّه مصيبُها}: من العذاب {ما أصابهم}؛ لأنَّها تشارِكُ قومها في الإثم، فتدلُّهم على أضياف لوطٍ إذا نزل به أضيافٌ. {إنَّ موعِدَهم الصُّبحُ}: فكأنَّ لوطاً استعجلَ ذلك، فقيل له: {أليس الصبحُ بقريبٍ}.
