   وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ

   (6) And [recall, O Children of Israel], when Moses said to his people, "Remember the favor of Allāh upon you when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment and were slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.

   Tafsir as-Sa'di (Arabic)

   Covers verses 6

   {6} ولهذا امتثل موسى عليه السلام أمر ربِّه، فذكَّرهم نعم الله، فقال: {اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم}؛ أي: بقلوبكم وألسنتكم، {إذ أنجاكم من آل فرعونَ يسومونكم}؛ أي: يُولُونكم، {سوء العذاب}؛ أي: أشده. وفسَّر ذلك بقوله: {ويذبِّحون أبناءكم ويَسْتَحْيون نساءكم}؛ أي: يبقونهنَّ فلا يقتلونهنَّ. {وفي ذلكم}: الانجاء {بلاءٌ من ربِّكم عظيمٌ}؛ أي: نعمة عظيمة، أو وفي ذلكم العذاب الذي ابتُليتم به من فرعون وملئه ابتلاءٌ من الله عظيمٌ لكم لينظر هل تصبرون أم لا.
