    قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

    (32) They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing,^[19] the Wise."^[20]

    [19]- Whose eternal and absolute knowledge encompasses the truth and essence of all things, seen or unseen, present or absent, neither preceded by ignorance nor followed by forgetfulness. [20]- Whose wisdom includes precise and perfect knowledge of all realities and outcomes, according to which He decrees and causes various circumstances and occurrences.

    Covers verses 32

    {32} {قالوا سبحانك}؛ أي ننزهك من الاعتراض منَّا عليك، ومخالفة أمرك {لا علم لنا}؛ بوجه من الوجوه، {إلا ما علمتنا}؛ إياه فضلاً منك وجوداً {إنك أنت العليم الحكيم}؛ العليم الذي أحاط علماً بكل شيء، فلا يغيب عنه ولا يعزب مثقال ذرة في السماوات والأرض ولا أصغر من ذلك ولا أكبر، الحكيم: من له الحكمة التامة التي لا يخرج عنها مخلوق ولا يشذ عنها مأمور، فما خلق شيئاً إلا لحكمة، ولا أمر بشيء إلا لحكمة، والحكمة وضع الشيء في موضعه اللائق به. فأقروا واعترفوا بعلم الله وحكمته وقصورهم عن معرفة أدنى شيء، واعترافهم بفضل الله عليهم وتعليمه إياهم ما لا يعلمون.
