    وَوَقَعَ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُوا۟ فَهُمْ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

    (85) And the decree will befall them^[1088] for the wrong they did, and they will not [be able to] speak.

    [1088]- Allāh's decree will come into effect upon them, and His promise will be fulfilled.

    {85} {ووقع القول عليهم بما ظلموا}؛ أي: حقت عليهم كلمة العذاب بسبب ظلمهم الذي استمرُّوا عليه وتوجهت عليهم الحجة، {فهم لا ينطِقونَ}: لأنه لا حجة لهم.
