    قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ

    (28) They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right."[1290]

    [1290]- i.e., from our position of strength, oppressing us. Or from where we would have grasped the truth, preventing us.

    {27 - 28} لما جُمِعوا هم وأزواجهم وآلهتُهم وهُدوا إلى صراط الجحيم ووُقِفوا فسُئِلوا فلم يُجيبوا؛ أقبلوا فيما بينَهم يلومُ بعضُهم بعضاً على إضلالِهِم وضلالِهِم، فقال الأتباعُ للمتبوعينَ الرؤساء: {إنَّكُم كنتُم تأتونَنا عن اليمينِ}؛ أي: بالقوَّة والغلبة فتُضِلُّونا، ولولا أنتُم؛ لكُنَّا مؤمنينَ.
