    فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا۟ بَأْسَنَا قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَحْدَهُۥ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِۦ مُشْرِكِينَ

    (84) And when they saw Our punishment, they said, "We believe in Allāh alone and disbelieve in that which we used to associate with Him."

    {84} {فلمَّا رأوا بأسَنا}؛ أي: عذابنا؛ أقرُّوا حيث لا ينفعهم الإقرار، و {قالوا آمنَّا بالله وحدَه وكَفَرْنا بما كُنَّا به مشركين}: من الأصنام والأوثان، وتبرَّأنا من كلِّ ما خالف الرسل من علم أو عمل.
