    لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ

    (78) Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.

    {78} ثم قال تعالى: {لُعِنَ الذينَ كفروا من بني إسرائيل}؛ أي: طُردوا وأبعدوا عن رحمة الله، {على لسان داود وعيسى ابن مريم}؛ أي: بشهادتهما وإقرارهما بأن الحجَّة قد قامت عليهم وعاندوها. {ذلك}: الكفر واللعن {بما عَصَوا وكانوا يعتدون}؛ أي: بعصيانهم لله وظُلمهم لعباد الله صار سبباً لكفرِهم وبعدِهم عن رحمة الله؛ فإنَّ للذُّنوب والظُّلم عقوبات.
