    يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَحْلِفُونَ لَهُۥ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ ۖ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ ۚ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَ

    (18) On the Day Allāh will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you and think that they are [standing] on something.^[1647] Unquestionably, it is they who are the liars.

    [1647]- They assume that their lies will be believed and that they will escape detection as they did in worldly life.

    {18} ومن عاش على شيءٍ؛ مات عليه؛ فكما أنَّ المنافقين في الدُّنيا يموِّهون على المؤمنين ويحلفون لهم أنَّهم مؤمنون، فإذا كان يوم القيامةِ وبعثَهُم الله جميعاً؛ حلفوا لله كما حلفوا للمؤمنين، ويحسبون في حلفهم هذا {أنَّهم على شيءٍ}: لأنَّ كفرهم ونفاقهم وعقائدهم الباطلة لم تَزَلْ تَرْسخُ في أذهانهم شيئاً فشيئاً، حتى غرَّتهم وظنُّوا أنَّهم على شيءٍ يعتدُّ به ويعلَّقُ عليه الثواب، وهم كاذبون في ذلك، ومن المعلوم أن الكذِبَ لا يروجُ على عالم الغيب والشهادة.
