     وَمِمَّنْ حَوْلَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ مُنَـٰفِقُونَ ۖ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ ۖ مَرَدُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنِّفَاقِ لَا تَعْلَمُهُمْ ۖ نَحْنُ نَعْلَمُهُمْ ۚ سَنُعَذِّبُهُم مَّرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ عَظِيمٍ

     (101) And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madīnah. They have persisted in hypocrisy. You, [O Muḥammad], do not know them, [but] We know them. We will punish them twice [in this world]; then they will be returned to a great punishment.

     Tafsir as-Sa'di (Arabic)

     Covers verses 101

     {101} يقول تعالى: {وممَّن حولَكم من الأعراب منافقون ومن أهل المدينة}: أيضاً منافقون، {مَرَدُوا على النِّفاق}؛ أي: تمرَّنوا عليه [واستمرّوا] وازدادوا فيه طغياناً، {لا تعلَمُهم}: بأعيانهم فتعاقبهم أو تعاملهم بمقتضى نفاقهم؛ لما لله في ذلك من الحكمة الباهرة. {نحن نعلمُهم سنعذِّبهم مرتينِ}: يُحتمل أن التثنية على بابها، وأنَّ عذابَهم عذابٌ في الدنيا وعذابٌ في الآخرة؛ ففي الدُّنيا ما ينالهم من الهمِّ والغمِّ والكراهة لما يصيب المؤمنين من الفتح والنصر، وفي الآخرة عذابُ النار وبئس القرار، ويُحتمل أنَّ المراد سنغلِّظُ عليهم العذاب، ونضاعفه عليهم، ونكرِّره.
