    أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ وَمَن يُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۩

    (18) Do you not see [i.e., know] that to Allāh prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified.^[920] And he whom Allāh humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allāh does what He wills.

    {18} واعترض تعالى بين هذه الآيات بذكر سجودِ المخلوقات له؛ جميع من في السماوات والأرض، والشمس، والقمر، والنجوم، والجبال، والشجر، والدوابِّ الذي يشمل الحيوانات كلَّها. وكثير من الناس، وهم المؤمنون: {وكثيرٌ حقَّ عليه العذاب}؛ أي: وَجَبَ وكُتِبَ لكفره وعدم إيمانه، فلم يوفِّقْه الله للإيمان؛ لأنَّ الله أهانه. {وَمَن يُهِنِ الله فما له من مكرم}: ولا رادَّ لما أراد، ولا معارِضَ لمشيئتِهِ؛ فإذا كانت المخلوقات كلُّها ساجدةً لربِّها، خاضعةً لعظمتِهِ، مستكينةً لعزَّته، عانيةً لسلطانه؛ دلَّ أنه وحده الربُّ المعبودُ الملكُ المحمودُ، وأنَّ من عدل عنه إلى عبادة سواه؛ فقد ضلَّ ضلالاً بعيداً، وخسر خسراناً مُبيناً.
