    فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

    (40) So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea.^[1104] So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.

    Footnotes

    [1104]- Allāh (subḥānahu wa taʿālā) caused them to leave all their worldly wealth behind and enter the sea in pursuit of the Children of Israel. See 26:52-66.

    {40} {فأخَذْناه وجنودَه}: عندما استمرَّ عنادُهُم وبَغْيُهم، {فَنبَذْناهم في اليمِّ فانظُرْ كيفَ كان عاقبةُ الظالمينَ}: كانت أشرَّ العواقبِ وأخسرَها عاقبةً، أعقبتْها العقوبةُ الدنيويَّة المستمرَّة المتَّصلة بالعقوبة الأخرويَّة.
