42. 42Play from here

    وَأَتْبَعْنَـٰهُمْ فِى هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمَقْبُوحِينَ

    (42) And We caused to overtake them in this world a curse, and on the Day of Resurrection they will be of the despised.^[1106]

    [1106]- Literally, "those made hideous," who will be far removed from all good and mercy.

    {42} {وأتْبَعْناهم في هذه الدُّنيا لعنةً}؛ أي: وأتْبَعْناهم زيادةً في عقوبتهم وخِزْيِهِم في الدنيا لعنةً يلعنون، ولهم عند الخلق الثناء القبيح والمقتُ والذمُّ، وهذا أمرٌ مشاهدٌ؛ فهم أئمةُ الملعونين في الدُّنيا ومقدمتهم. {ويوم القيامةِ هم من المقبوحينَ}: المبعَدين، المستقذرة أفعالهم، الذين اجتمع عليهم مقتُ الله ومقتُ خلقِهِ ومقتُ أنفسهم.
