    فَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

    (8) Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?[1609]

    {7 - 9} {وكنتم}: أيُّها الخلق، {أزواجاً ثلاثةً}؛ أي: انقسمتم ثلاث فرق بحسب أعمالكم الحسنة والسيئة. ثم فصَّل أحوال الأزواج الثلاثة، فقال: {فأصحابُ الميمنةِ ما أصحابُ الميمنةِ}: تعظيمٌ لشأنهم وتفخيمٌ لأحوالهم، {وأصحابُ المشأمة}؛ أي: الشمال، {ما أصحابُ المشأمة}: تهويلٌ لحالهم.
